The Swan Princess: A Royal Wedding out now!
This is my idea of fun!
When I was growing up I loved the original Swan Princess. It came out in 1994 and since then there have been 9 more Swan Princess movies made. The most recent is The Swan Princess: A Royal Wedding. My kids have not seen the original Swan Princess, but we just watched A Royal Wedding and they are now hooked! The Swan Princess: A Royal Wedding is now available on digital and to rent at Redbox. Keep reading for my review and super cute activity sheets to go along with the new movie.
My Review
While the animation might be different Derek and Odette’s love for each other is the same. I actually haven’t watched a Swan Princess movie since the original, and after watching A Royal Wedding I really do need to go back and watch them all. So much has changed in the world of The Swan Princess! My girls and I really enjoyed A Royal Wedding. The only things that bothered me, personally, was the CGI animation and the fact there really wasn’t a lot of music in the movie.
Other than that the movie had my girls on the edges of their seats and I believe has sparked a love of The Swan Princess in them. One of the reason’s I love The Swan Princess is because it teaches you that love can overcome so much, and A Royal Wedding continues this tradition. If you need a movie the whole family can watch for a movie night I suggest The Swan Princess: A Royal Wedding, or even better yet a whole Swan Princess movie marathon!
