Disney’s Live Action Mulan: Teaser Trailer Reaction
One of My Disney Favorites
The teaser trailer for Disney’s live action Mulan hit the internet recently, and this Disney fan is excited! (I will be honest with you. Disney has been hit-or-miss with their live action remakes. Sorry Dumbo.) I am usually not one to make teaser trailer reactions, but Mulan has been one of my personal favorite Disney characters since the animated version released in 1998. What caused me to love her so much is the duality in her life. (Her duty to bring honor to her family through a good marriage, but her having the courage to risking everything to save the one’s she loves.) The song “Reflection” also hit home for me because as a teenager it spoke of what I felt I was going through at the time.
Then the live action teaser for Mulan released. It looks like there will be no singing, and will be missing some big characters from the animated version. (Mushu and possibly others.) But I am here to tell you when you watch the trailer put your nostalgia for the animated version aside, and you will see one amazing teaser trailer.
It has a different vibe, the cast is amazing, and the visuals already look stunning. (Personally, it’s really hard for me to even view it as a remake.) The story of Mulan is so much more than an animated dragon voiced by Eddie Murphy. I truly hope Disney does the story of Mulan justice. Take a look at the below trailer/synopsis for Disney’s Live Action Mulan. Then let me know in the comments what you think.
