Magic Kingdom’s Happily Ever After Dessert Party

Magical Extras

Disney does a fantastic job of coming up with and offering great magical extras to help enhance your Disney vacation. One of those magical extra’s are their dessert parties. Each park has their own unique dessert party that is paired with entertainment. Animal Kingdom has their Rivers of Light dessert party during the Rivers of Light show. Epcot has their Frozen Ever After dessert party during the IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth show. Hollywood studios has their Star Wars Galactic Spectacular dessert party, and their Fantasmic Dessert viewing experience. Lastly, Magic Kingdom has 4 different dessert parties to choose from such as their Ferrytale dessert party, and 3 Tomorrowland Terrace fireworks dessert parties. While I have not been able to partake in any of the dessert parties in Epcot, Animal Kingdom, or Hollywood Studios my family and I have been able to experience the Magic Kingdom’s Happily Ever After Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace.

Location, Location, Location.

Ever been stuck outside in the rain or crammed in with a bunch of people just so you can try to get a great spot to watch the fireworks in Magic Kingdom? I have. It can really put a damper on the whole experience. With kids it can even be more difficult to find a great spot. Getting a great spot to watch the fireworks comes down to location and time. To get a great location you have to set up shop in your selected spot an hour or more before the fireworks start. That is precious park time! But Disney came up with a solution…

Tomorrowland Dessert Party

Dessert? Yes, Please!

Disney’s dessert parties offer you the ability to grab a bite to eat and drink while also providing you with fantastic viewing locations for the fireworks. As I mentioned before my family and I recently experienced the Happily Ever After Dessert Party at Magic Kingdom. The dessert party is located at Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant, and you have your pick between 3 different options.

Garden Plaza Options

Garden Plaza

There are 2 Garden Plaza dessert party options. One where you eat at Tomorrow Land Terrace first, and then are escorted to the Garden Plaza to view the fireworks. The second is where you get to view the fireworks in the Garden Plaza, and then be escorted to Tomorrow Land terrace for dessert. Both options are $69 for adults and $41 for ages 3-9.

Tomorrowland Terrace Seating

The Tomorrowland Terrace seating dessert party option was the one we opted for. For this option you get to sit, eat, and watch the fireworks. You can check in and arrive an hour before the fireworks start, eat, and relax, or you can check in and come back. While the seating area is covered it still provides an amazing view of the fireworks. This option costs $84 for adults and $50 ages 3 to 9. I highly recommend this option if you have kids. It was rainy the day we went to the Magic Kingdom and having a covered area where the kids could play and eat was amazing.

Beautiful Views of the Fireworks

The Food

The food for the above three dessert parties are the same. It is all you can eat and drink. The best part is you get a great mix of savory and sweet food options. For the savory foods you get egg rolls, spinach dip, and cheese and crackers. For the sweet desserts there are decorate your own cupcakes and cookie desserts, ice cream, themed desserts, etc. Some of my favorite desserts were the Ooey gooey toffee cake, the S’mores action table, and the chocolate covered strawberries. For drinks they keep it simple with coffee, tea, water, different lemonades, hot chocolate, and sparkling cider.

Worth it?

Absolutely! My husband and I would book another dessert party in a heartbeat. Actually, the Magic Kingdom Ferrytale dessert party, the Rivers of Light dessert party, and the Star Wars dessert party are all on our list to experience. Of all the magical extra’s you can add on to your Walt Disney World Vacation the dessert parties are worth every penny.

I would love to know if you have any questions about the dessert parties or if you have experienced one of the many dessert parties yourself. Let me know in the comments below.
