Extended summer weekends

Summer isn’t over yet folks, and Hersheypark gets it. They will be having an extended summer weekend Oct. 2 and 3, with another bonus weekend November 5-7, 2021.

Hersheypark In The Dark

If you love Halloween and treats then get excited because Hersheypark In The Dark opens starting October 15 through October 31, 2021; Fridays from 5-9 pm and weekends 2-9 pm.

About the event

“The 2021 seasonal event marks the 15th anniversary of Treatville trick-or-treat trail with candy stops inside Hersheypark for guests ages 12 and under. Coaster fans will enjoy the return of night rides on the Park’s roller coasters, with lights-out rides on five coasters including Candymonium hyper coaster in the new Hershey’s Chocolatetown region.

Other unique offerings include costumed Hershey Characters experiences, new fall foods throughout the Park, and Creatures Of The Night program at ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park, which is the only time of year the Zoo is open after dark.”

Hersheypark Christmas Candylane

If Halloween is not your thing that is quite alright. If you are more into Hot Cocoa and Christmas lights then Hersheypark has you covered as well with their Hersheypark Christmas Candylane. Running from “Nov. 12, 2021, through Jan. 2, 2021 with daily operations starting December 3 (closed Christmas Day); hours vary by day with event tickets available closer to the season.”

About the event

“This year marks 25 years of Santa’s reindeer making a special stop at Hersheypark. Christmas Candylane is the only place in the Northeast where guests can get an up-close look at all nine live reindeer, including Rudolph.

Christmas Candylane also features more than 5 million twinkling lights, including the dazzling NOEL light show with more than 250,000 dancing lights synchronized to Christmas music; a unique blend of thrilling coasters like Candymonium and family-friendly rides (weather permitting); an experience with Santa; TREEVILLE trail, a strolling holiday adventure experience in The Boardwalk region with more than a dozen uniquely decorated trees sharing stories of The Sweetest Place On Earth; signature hot chocolate and other sweet treats. A new Breakfast with Santa experience will also be offered December weekends at The Chocolatier Restaurant Bar + Patio with more details to come.”

Hershey Sweet Lights

When I was growing up almost every Christmas my parents would load all of us in the car and we would drive around looking at Christmas lights in the neighborhood. Fast forward to today, and I continue this tradition with my own kids. For those who also do this Hersheypark has an event that would be a great addition to your tradition.

About the event

Hershey Sweet Lights attraction, a drive-through holiday spectacular with nearly 600 illuminated displays, will also be open, with hours and tickets available in late September.”
