Haha! This is what my 3-year-old said after we unboxed her new KidsEmbrace Buzz Lightyear combination car seat. We have been in full Toy Story 4 mode here at our house so it was like Christmas when I surprised my oldest with her new car seat. (I mean what kid wouldn’t want to ride around with their favorite Disney or Marvel character? Haha!) But if you follow my blog and know me, I don’t let my kids ride around in just any car seat. Keep reading to learn more about the KidsEmbrace Buzz Lightyear combination car seat, and if it is truly love.
The Seat
KidsEmbrace car seats are a mix of safety, fun, and affordability. Safety-wise KidsEmbrace strives to go above and beyond what is required. Winning awards such as the IIHS “Best Bet Booster” award, and more. (You can read all about KidsEmbrace Safety and awards HERE.)
The combination car seat can go from a 5-point harness seat to a booster. (Harnessed booster for children 22-65 lbs., and 29”-49” tall, or booster for children 40-100 lbs., and 38”-57” tall.) This seat is not complicated and is easy to use. The combination car seat has a 5-point harness, 3 position headrest, 2 position crotch belt, 2 cup holders, is only 19 inches wide, and of course, you can get them in a variety of Disney Characters.
Other amazing perks of the seat is it only weighs 15 lbs., the seat cover is machine washable, and when used as a 5-point harness car seat it is certified for use on airplanes. (NOT certified when used as a booster.) The KidsEmbrace combination car seat sits at a price point of $149.99. Which is a pretty affordable price. (KidsEmbrace also offers Military, First Responder, student, and teacher discounts! So, you may be able to get your seats even cheaper.)
Installation
Installation is pretty straight forward, but please make sure to read the instruction guide and your vehicle’s guide. If you find you are having a little difficulty installing your seat you can make an appointment with a CPST in your area. (You can find one near you HERE!) KidsEmbrace does make installation a little easier by making the latch and tether straps bright orange. At only 19″ wide the KidsEmbrace combination car seat can possibly sit 3 across in a vehicle depending on the type of vehicle. (We have a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and we can fit 3 across, but for some, the cup holders may get in the way.)
Do We Love It?
YES! My 3-year-old is in love with her KidsEmbrace Buzz Lightyear Combination car seat. It makes her smile every time we open the car door for her. It does take some getting used too, as the driver, to see a face in your review mirror. (Haha! Freaked my husband out when he first saw Buzz Lightyear without my daughter in her seat.) I love that the seat is pretty narrow at 19 inches wide. Not the narrowest of car seats, but still pretty narrow. It could be possible for 3 to fit across in some vehicles, and if it does the price point of the seat makes it very affordable to be able to purchase multiples. (Especially with a Military or first Responder discount which KidsEmbrace offers!) I would purchase another KidsEmbrace Combination car seat in a heartbeat for my second child.
