Monster Jam Review & Tips
My monster Jam Review!
Like I said in my previous posts I have never been to a Monster Jam event before. (Never been to a monster truck event ever!) Not knowing what to expect I have been looking forward to attending and providing my Monster Jam review. I didn’t know if it was going to be an event my daughters would actually enjoy either, but we went and everyone one had a blast! My girls were up dancing, cheering on their favorite trucks/drivers, and just having a grand time.
So, the big question is would I go back? Yes! Do I now have a favorite truck/driver? Yes! Soldier Fortune/Kayla Blood. My daughters also loved Monster Mutt and my husband going old school loved Grave Digger. As a first-timer, I did learn some things for those looking to attend an event for the first time. I have listed them below, but first I want to talk about the event!
“I am a Feld Family Ambassador, and in exchange for my time and efforts in attending shows and reporting my opinion within this blog, as well as keeping you advised of the latest discount offers, Feld Entertainment has provided me with complimentary tickets to Feld shows and opportunities to attend private Feld pre-Show events.”
The Event
Per the Monster Jam website, there are around 62 monster trucks in their lineup. The trucks we saw at Royal Farms Arena were: Alien Invasion, El Toro Loco, Grave Digger, Max-D, Megalodon, Monster Mutt, Soldier Fortune, and Zombie. Because it was a Triple Threat event they also had ATV’s and Speedsters. The different parts of the show were racing (timed and head-to-head), The 2 wheel challenge, donuts, and freestyle. I thought it was cool the audience was the judge and could submit their scores. There were times during the event where trucks had issues and could not compete, or needed to be towed, but I thought it was pretty awesome. Haha! (Grave Digger was one of the trucks.) My daughters loved the dance cam part of the show and even were on the big screen for a couple of seconds. All in all, it was a fantastic event!
Monster Jam Review – Tips
Now, on to my tips! My number 1 tip is to bring ear protection for everyone. (This might seem like a no brainer to some, but I saw a few kids at the event without ear protection.) If you accidentally leave the ear protection at home you should purchase some at the arena. This leads to tip 2, bring extra spending cash. The event-specific ear protection costs around $25.00 a pair for the kids flashy kind, and less for the plugs, and if you want to purchase any snacks/drinks or souvenirs you will need spending money.
Tip 3, it is dusty in the arena during the show so if you have anyone in your family with asthma or breathing difficulties I would recommend speaking with your doctor before attending. We were a little way back and I still could see all the dirt collecting on my phone, and had grit in my teeth. Tip 4, pick your seats wisely. Being in the first available row isn’t necessarily the best place to be. Yes, you can see the drivers better, but it is louder, and I saw a lot of dirt getting kicked up, in clumps, into the closest rows. So, if you are taking kids I suggest sitting a way back. Tip 5, this is the most important tip of all, and that is to enjoy the show. Get into the spirit and participate. Dance, submit your scores and cheer on your favorite truck/driver.

This si so fun to go to but don’t forget earplugs as it can get rather loud.
Yes! Ear protection is a must!
I love these shows. They do get very loud if they are indoors. They are loud outdoors too but not quite as bad.
I would love to see one outdoors!
