Free Guy Movie Trailer Reaction

Ryan! Ryan!

20^th Century Studios just released a long trailer for their new movie Free Guy starring Ryan Reynolds. At first glance, it reminds me a lot of Jumanji, Wreck-It Ralph, and The Lego Movie. But that is ok with me! I liked all three of those movies, but Free Guy has Ryan Reynolds. Haha! If you haven’t seen or heard about the movie Free Guy you can read the movie synopsis and watch the trailer below. It looks like it will be an action-packed comedy with tons of classic Ryan Reynolds humor. Oh, and did I mention Taika Waititi is in the movie? Haha! Another huge plus for Free Guy.

The only downside I can foresee for the movie is it is slated to release in theaters December 11, 2020. Usually, that would be no big deal, but with everything going on in the world today and many Regal movie theaters being shut down I just don’t know how well it is going to do in theaters. (Shrugs) Now if 20th Century Studios decided to do a joint theater/VOD release then I think Free Guy could do fantastic. (I have my fingers crossed, and if they don’t I will campaign to #freeguytovod. Haha!) So I am a little bummed about this one. I really want to see it, and would love to see it in theaters, but personally, I am not ready yet to go back to the movie theater.

Ryan Reynolds stars as a bank teller who discovers he is actually a background player in an open-world video game, and decides to become the hero of his own story—one he rewrites himself. Now in a world where there are no limits, he is determined to be the guy who saves his world his way, before it is too late.
