House of Ho Out Now On HBO Max
Move over Kardashians the Ho’s are taking over!
Last week I had the chance to preview the 1st episode of the new reality TV series House of Ho on HBO Max. (It is the first docuseries of an Asian family.) If you love the Real Housewives of whatever city or The Kardashians then you are going to love delving into the lives of the Ho family. Below are all of my thoughts on the House of Ho now available to watch on HBO Max.
Reality TV at it’s finest
When I watch reality TV it is usually when I do not want to think and just need to relax. I am sad to admit it but there is just something about watching other people’s drama that is so interesting. Haha! I used to watch the Kardashians back when they first came on the TV, and I was really into the Real Housewives of Atlanta and Orange County for a while there. But there is something different about the House of Ho. Some reality TV shows try to show how perfect the lives of those in the show are. The glitz and the glam, and of course the House of Ho has that, but you can see the underside and that their lives are not perfect.
They might be rich, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have regular people problems.
In fact, from watching the 1st episode you can see that the older son Washington seems to have a drinking problem along with conflicts in his marriage. You also get to see Judy Ho struggling with following her heart in divorcing her husband, but not getting approval from her father. Actually, after watching the 1st episode I can honestly say the best part of the show is the women of the Ho family.
Aunt Tina is a trip, and Judy and Lesley are both amazingly smart women who also happen to both have husband issues. (I cannot wait to see all of Aunt Tina’s antics and to see how Judy and Lesley resolve their issues.) In all, it is refreshing to see a different kind of family in reality TV. I feel it is important for people to be able to watch other cultures on TV not just people from California. Haha! If you love reality TV you are going to love House of Ho, and I hope it gets better as the season progresses.

Synopsis
