My Review

My kids and I think Rock Dog 2 is a cute and entertaining movie. We all got up to dance every time music started playing, and my girl’s favorite character in the movie is Bodi. For me though the biggest thing that stood out in the movie and that I like about Rock Dog 2 is the message for kids in it. (Also a message that some adults need to hear.) In an age where digital technology and social media are kings, it can take its toll on kids and adults alike.

The want to be liked by people online you have never met drives people to do crazy things. Even change who they are or lie to get the social media likes/follows. Rock Dog 2 delves into this topic and tries to teach us that “the game” of trying to get likes/follows isn’t worth changing who you are. Being yourself is the best thing you can do! If you and your kids loved the first Rock Dog movie you are going to enjoy the sequel Rock Dog 2: Rock Around The Park!

Movie Synopsis

One year after the events of the original Rock Dog, Bodi and his band, True Blue, have become locally famous in the village of Snow Mountain—they even have devoted fans! But when a music mogul named Lang gives them the opportunity to tour with pop sensation Lil’ Foxy, Bodi and his friends learn that fame comes at a price, and ultimately discover that only by staying true to yourself can you unleash the power of rock ‘n’ roll!
